FIRST STEP – ONLINE RECRUITMENT ON IRK
1st of April – 30th of June 2026
CREATING AN ACCOUNT AND FULFILLING NECESSARY DATA
To sign up, choose “Create an account” (top right side). Read and accept the clause, enter your email and create a password.
WARNING! Write your actual e-mail – after signing up, you will receive an activation link to this e-mail. Click the link to create an account (log in with given email and created password).
After logging in to the main page of your account, open the 'Personal forms' tab (above the photo space). Select the recruitment you are interested in by clicking on 'Select recruitment' (on the right) and you will be redirected to the forms you need to complete:
Basic personal data
Fulfill your personal data (surname, name), date, place and country of birth, citizenship. Information must match the data from your passport.
International candidate
Choose and post the documents you possess.
Address and contact information
Add your phone number (both foreign and polish - we will contact you only for important purposes) and temporary address. You should also fulfill correspondence address (in this case you need to provide polish address if you possess).
Photo
You are obligated to upload a picture (in accordance with the requirements for ID or passport). Detailed guidelines can be found in the ‘Picture’ tab.
Uploaded photo will be used for Student’s ID.
Every picture has to be accepted by the Administrator. The Administrator will see it in the system after you sign up for a major programme.
Education
Fulfill data about your secondary education: type of high school, name of high school, city and country of high school.
Then in tab ‘Documents’ choose ‘Add a document’ and fill in the information about your high school diploma (matura certificate). Below the saved file, you will see the options ‘Edit’ and then ‘Add file’—use these to upload scans of your high school diploma, transcript, and additional exam results.
After saving the data, an ‘Edit Exam Results’ button will appear on the right—here, select the subjects from your high school diploma without entering the scores—after verifying the documents uploaded to the system, the Unit for Teaching Administration will calculate your scores and enter them into the system.
Candidates who graduated from secondary school this year, up to the 30th of June 2026 fulfill necessary educational data (type of document, year and country of issue, name and place of the institution which issued the document), in 'Edit exam results' tab mark passed subjects without entering their scores, and then use the 'Offer' tab apply for major programmes and pay the application fee . After receiving Secondary School Certificate, but no later than 8th of July 2026, candidats are obligated to immediately fulfill the results of examination in the tab, along with document number and issue date. Those who fail to provide such data will not be taken under consideration during the recruitment process.
ATTENTION!
Foreigners applying for admission to first-cycle studies or long-cycle studies on the basis of a document issued abroad - which is not a document confirming eligibility to apply for admission to studies, as referred to in Article 326a (1) of the Law on Higher Education and Science - will be required to participate in a qualification test of basic mathematical knowledge.

Additional personal information
Fulfill the data of your passport with which you will identify yourself when submitting documents.
MAJOR PROGRAMME CHOOSING
After fulfilling required information, choose the major programmes. For full-time studies you can choose a maximum of three major programmes, but you can be admitted only to one. To do so, choose the tab ‘Offer’ (top right side). You will be transferred to the page with all programmes offered in the recruitment process. Choose a programme by clicking on it and then sign in by choosing ‘Sign in’ tab. Prioritize chosen major programmes from the most to the least preferred one.
Chosen programmes will appear on your account in the ‘Enrollment applications’ tab along with the results of the process and documents necessary for admission to download. Look for the ‘Set priorities’ button, with which you can change the priorities up to the 30th of June 2026.
APPLICATION FEE
The application fee is 85 PLN for each program of study. If you have chosen one program, you pay 85 PLN; if two, 170 PLN; and if three, 255 PLN.
An exception applies to applicants taking the entrance exam, for whom the application fee is 100 PLN. These applicants are required to pay 100 PLN via the IRK system for each selected field of study.
Make money transfer to an individual account number which can be found in the ‘Payments’ tab. State your name and surname as the transfer title.

ENTRY EXAM
Qualification test of basic mathematical knowledge - 8th of July 2026 (applies to a specific grups of candidates, detailed information is posted on the University's website).
RESULTS - 17th of July 2025
The results of the recruitment process will be published on your IRK account in ‘Enrollment applications’ tab:
Qualified – you have been qualified for admission to studies. After submitting necessary documents, in the 'Decision' tab the statement will change to ‘Admitted’.
Not qualified – you have not been qualified for admission.
In ‘News’ tab (top right side) ,within the results date, you will find all necessary information (regarding document submission) for qualified candidates and information for not qualified candidates. Read the information carefully before submitting documents.
If you have been qualified and would like to study at the Krakow University of Economics, you must provide a set of required documents:
- Secondary school certificate with the transcript of grades and additional exams (maturity exams) - legalized, translated - photocopy and original for view,
- Statutory declaration confirming that the secondary school certificate entitles the holder to apply for admission to university studies of any kind in the country in which the secondary school certificate was issued. Declaration is not required if the proper information can be found on the graduation certificate of secondary education - photocopy and original for view,
- NAWA's director information or an administrative decision of the Board of Education (recognition - nostryfikacja) confirming eligibility to apply for admission to studies - not applicable to foreign certificates recognized by law or on the basis of a proper international agreement - photocopy and original for view,
- Proof of English language proficiency: English certificate - it does not apply to candidates from EU, who hold a certificate issued in the EU - photocopy and original for view,
- Printout of personal questionnaire - from Online Candidate Admission platform (Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps),
- Photocopy of passport (page with photo) - original for view,
- Citizenship statement - from Online Candidate Admission Platform (Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps),
- In the case of person underage - a parent's or legal custodian's statement expressing their approval for a legal commitment to the Krakow University of Economics (the form is available in Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps).
NOTE:
Another person/The Representative may submit documents on behalf of the candidate. In such a case authorisation is required. Form of power of attorney is posted in the downloads tab. and on Online Candidate Admissions platform (IRK) – Enrollment applications – Documents and further steps.
The Representative is obligated to deliver:
- fulfilled form of power of attorney,
- personal ID or passport,
- copy of candidate’s passport,
- all required documents for admission (from Step 2 - Confirmation of undertaking studies).
RESIDENCE PERMIT AND INSURANCE
Before the beginning of studies, you should deliver:
- Original and photocopy of visa/residence permit - EU citizens – registration of stay;
- Original and photocopy of health insurance, covering the entire period of studies in Poland or copy of a European Health Insurance Card or insurance from the National Health Fund.
Student ID Card will be available after submission of the documents required at the third step.
