QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

Admission to part-time (Bachelor's) programme is based on the grades obtained at the secondary school-leaving examination from two subjects: contemporary foreign language and optional: chemistry, philosophy, physics, geography, history, informatics, polish language, mathematics or society knowledge.

ATTENTION!

Foreigners applying for admission to first-cycle studies or long-cycle studies on the basis of a document issued abroad - which is not a document confirming eligibility to apply for admission to studies, as referred to in article 326a (1) of the Law on Higher Education and Science - will be required to participate in a qualification test of basic mathematical knowledge.

■ The points from certificates of secondary education must be properly calculated. For this purpose, contact the Unit for Teaching Administration (studiainfo@uek.krakow.pl) or check information on how to convert points by yourself at University website: study.uek.krakow.pl. The University Enrollment Committee accepts calculated points and determines admission to further qualification.

■ For each subject considered in the qualification procedure a Candidate can receive a maximum of 100 points. The total number of points received is 200The University Enrollment Committee accepts calculated points and determines admission to further qualification.

■ Candidates applying for admission to studies may apply to any number of major programmes, but they may be admitted only to one majorCandidates are obliged to prioritise major programmes from the most to the least preferred one. Admission to one of the programmes indicates that a Candidate is not admitted to others.

■ The launching of the programme is conditioned by an appropriate number of candidates.

RECRUITMENT SCHEDULES

  • Registration of candidates: from 2nd of June to 24th of August 2025
  • Entrance exam -  2 September 2025 (implies to specific groups of candidates, detailed information is posted on the University's website)
  • Language exam - 3 Septemebr 2025; polish language and english language (implies to specific groups of candidates, detailed information is posted on the University's website)
  • Announcement of admission results – 12th of September 2025
  • Confirmation of undertaking studies – 13th, 15th or 16th of September 2025

APPLICATION FEE

Candidates shall make payment of the application fee for the admission procedure. In the academic year 2025/26 the fee is 85 PLN per each chosen major programme. Payment should be made onto individual account number generated in  the Online Candidate Admissions platform/ IRK, no later than on the last day of registration. The account number and the total amount will appear in the ,,Payments'' tab after signing up for the major programme! As a title of payment, please state your name and surname.

TUITION FEE

The semester fee for studies implemented in English is 6000 PLN.
Information about the fees and the bank account number will be available in the USOSweb system after admission.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS

The admission results will be announced on 12th of September 2025 on the Candidates' accounts in the Online Candidate Admissions platform/IRK.

CONFIRMATION OF UNDERTAKING STUDIES

Foreigners qualified for admission shall submit the following documents on13th, 15th or 16th of September 2025:

  1. Secondary school-leaving certificate with the transcript of grades - photocopy and original for view,
  2. Results of Multitest/NMT exam (Ukrainian Cantidates only) - photocopy and original for view,
  3. Decision about recognition (nostryfikacja) of secondary-school certificate, issued by the Board of Education in Poland or NAWA's director information - photocopy and original for view,
  4. Legalization/apostille and translation into polish language - photocopies and original for view,
  5. Statutory declaration confirming that the secondary-school certificate entitles the holder to apply for admission to university studies in the country of issue (not applicable to certificates issued in Ukraine). Declaration is not required if the proper information can be found on the graduation certificate of secondary education - photocopy and original for view,
  6. Proof of English language proficiency (does not concern candidates taking the language exam at the KUE) - photocopy and original for view,
  7. Printout of personal questionnaire - from Online Candidate Admission platform (Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps),
  8. Printout for the Candiate's file - can be found on the University's website,
  9. Photocopy of passport (page with photo) - original for view,
  10. Parent’s or legal custodian’s statement (only persons under age of 18) expressing their approval for a legal commitment to the Krakow University of Economics - from Online Candidate Admission Platform (Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps),
  11. Citizenship statement - from Online Candidate Admission Platform (Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps),
  12. Visa / residence card / UE citizen’s registration of stay - photocopy and original for view,
  13. Health insurance - photocopy and original for view.

When submitting the documents, the candidate must confirm his identity and present his passport.

NOTE: Another person/The Representative may submit documents on behalf of the candidate. In such case  authorisation is required. Form of power of attorney is posted in the downloads tab. and on Online Candidate Admissions platform (IRK) – Enrollment applications-Documents and further steps.
The Representative is obligated to deliver:
- fulfilled form of power of attorney
- personal ID,
- copy of candidate’s ID/passport,
- all required documents for admission (from Step 2).
