QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

■ First cycle programme (BA), major -  International Business lasts for 3 years and leads to the professional title of "licencjat"

■ Admission to studies is based on the grades obtained at the secondary school-leaving examination, and the qualification procedure includes the following subjects:

1. contemporary foreign language,
2. optional: 
chemistry, philosophy, physics, geography, history, informatics, Polish language, mathematics, society knowledge.

 

ATTENTION!

Foreigners applying for admission to first-cycle studies on the basis of a document issued abroad - which is not a document confirming eligibility to apply for admission to studies, as referred to in Article 326a (1) of the Law on Higher Education and Science - will be required to participate in a qualification test of basic mathematical knowledge.

■ The points from graduation certificates of secondary education are calculated by the University Enrollment Comittee and they determine admission to further qualification.  To do this, you must upload scans of your certificate, transcript, and additional exams to the IRK system. You can convert the points yourself, following the instructions in the document ‘Converting points from foreign certificates’. 

■ For each subject considered in the qualification procedure a candidate can receive a maximum of 100 points. The total number of points received is 200.

Candidates applying for admission to studies may apply to maximum of three major programmes, but they may be admitted only to one major. Candidates are obliged to prioritise major programmes from the most to the least preferred one. Admission to one of the programmes indicates that a Candidate is not admitted to others.

■ The launching of the programme is conditioned by an appropriate number of candidates.

RECRUITMENT SCHEDULES

  • Registration of candidates: from 1st of April to 23rd of August 2026
  • Entrance exam - 2nd of September 2026 (implies to specific groups of candidates, detailed information is posted on the University's website)
  • Announcement of admission results - 10th of September 2026
  • Confirmation of undertaking studies – 11, 12, 14th of September 2026 

APPLICATION FEE

Candidates shall make payment of application fee for the admission procedure. In the academic year 2026/27 the fee is 85 PLN for each chosen major programme. 

An exception is made for candidates taking the entrance exam, for whom the application fee will be 100 PLN. Each applicant is required to make the payment of 100 PLN via IRK system for each chosen field of study

Payment should be made onto individual account number generated in Online Candidate Admission platform/IRK, latest on the last day of registration. The account number and final amount will appear in ,,Payments'' tab after choosing study programme.

There is a possibility to pay the application fee via Przelewy24 system, which offers a possibility of quick payments.  The quick payment tab appears in the Payments tab.

Please state the title of payment as your name and surname.

FEES FOR STUDIES

Tuition fee for one semester of studies in English language is 6 000 PLN.

The total fee is payable for the first semester, while payments in instalments are accepted for subsequent semesters.
Information on relevant payables and the bank account number will be available in USOSweb system after you are admitted to the program.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS 

The admission results will be announced on 10th of September 2026 (Thursday) on the Candidate's account in the Online Candidate Admission platform/IRK. 

CONFIRMATION OF UNDERTAKING STUDIES 

Foreigners qualified for admission shall submit required documents within 11, 12, 14th of September 2026:
  1. Secondary school certificate with the transcript of grades and additional exams (maturity exams) -  legalized, translated -  photocopy and original for view,
  2. Statutory declaration confirming that the secondary school certificate entitles the holder to apply for admission to university studies of any kind in the country in which the secondary school certificate was issued. Declaration is not required if the proper information can be found on the graduation certificate of secondary education - photocopy and original for view,
  3. NAWA's director information or an administrative decision of the Board of Education (recognition - nostryfikacja) confirming eligibility to apply for admission to studies - not applicable to foreign certificates recognized by law or on the basis of a proper international agreement - photocopy and original for view,
  4. Proof of English language proficiency: English certificate - it does not apply to candidates  from EU, who hold a certificate issued in the EU - photocopy and original for view,
  5. Printout of personal questionnaire - from Online Candidate Admission platform (Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps),
  6. Photocopy of passport (page with photo) - original for view,
  7. Citizenship statement - from Online Candidate Admission Platform (Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps),
  8. In the case of person underage - a parent's or legal custodian's statement expressing their approval for a legal commitment to the Krakow University of Economics (the form is available in the Enrollment application - Documents and further steps).

NOTE:
Another person/The Representative may submit documents on behalf of the candidate. In such a case  authorisation is required.

The Representative is obligated to deliver:
- f
ulfilled form of power of attorney,
- personal ID or passport,
- copy of candidate’s passport,
- all required documents for admission (from Step 2 - Confirmation of undertaking studies).

RESIDENCE PERMIT AND INSURANCE

Before the beginning of studies, admitted persons shall deliver:

  1. Original and photocopy of visa/residence permit, EU citizens – registration of stay;
  2. Original and photocopy of health insurance covering the entire period of studies in Poland or copy of a European Health Insurance Card or insurance from the National Health Fund.

Student ID Card will be available after submission of the documents required at the third step.
