QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

■ Admission of candidates is based on average grades / GPA  in examinations and credit obtained in the course of attending Bachelor's (or equivalent) long-cycle programmes / GPA from diploma's supplement or separate notification with GPA from the University. 

ATTENTION!
Foreigners applying for admission to second-cycle studies on the basis of a diploma of graduation issued abroad which is not a diploma authorizing continuation of education in second-cycle studies, as referred to in Article 326, paragraph 1, and which has not been recognized as a diploma equivalent to a corresponding Polish diploma on the basis of the international agreement referred to in Article 327, paragraph 1. 1, or through a recognition procedure, will be required to submit during the recruitment process a diploma of graduation issued abroad by a higher education institution recognized by the country on whose territory or in whose system of higher education it operates, along with written information about the diploma issued by the director of NAWA confirming eligibility to apply for admission.

■ When registering, candidates should provide average grades visible in the diploma supplement or on the certificate confirming the completion of studies.

The grade point average /GPA/ must be documented - if it is not provided in the diploma supplement, Candidate must submit a separate notification with GPA from the University. 

■ Candidate is obligated to upload a scan of the diploma with supplement or scan of notification confirming the GPA in the IRK system.

 Foreign candidates who hold the above mentioned degree from outside of Poland may apply for Master's programmes at KUE only if their diploma has been legalized and entitles to apply for Master's programmes in the country of issue. 

■ In order to verify if the above mentioned diploma issued outside of Poland entitles to apply for Master studies in Poland, it's necessary to send the following documents to the Unit for Teaching Administration (studiainfo@uek.krakow.pl): copy of the diploma and supplement/transcript of records.

■ It is obligatory that the diploma with supplement/transcript of records are translated into Polish language by a sworn translator.

■ Candidates applying for admission to studies may apply to maximum of three major programmes, but they may be admitted only to one major. Candidates are obliged to prioritise major programmes from the most preferred to the least preferred one. Admission to one of the programmes indicates that a candidate is not admitted to others.

■ The launch of the major programme depends on the application of a sufficient number of candidates.

RECRUITMENT SCHEDULES

  • Registration of candidates: from 2nd of June to 15th of September 2025
  • Language exam: 3rd of Septemeber 2025; polish language and english language (implies to specific groups of candidates, detailed information is posted on the University's website)
  • Announcement of admission results – 24th of September 2025
  • Confirmation of undertaking studies – 25, 26, 27th of September 2025

APPLICATION FEE

Candidates shall make payment of the application fee for the admission procedure. In the academic year 2025/26 the fee is 85 PLN per each chosen major programme. Payment should be made onto individual account number generated in  the Online Candidate Admissions platform/ IRK, no later than on the last day of registration. The account number and the total amount will appear in the ,,Payments'' tab after signing up for the major programme! As a title of payment, please state your name and surname.

TUITION FEE

 Tuition fee for one semester of studies held in English language is 6 000 PLN.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS

The admission results will be announced on 24th of September 2025 on the Candidates' accounts in the Online Candidate Admissions platform/IRK.

CONFIRMATION OF UNDERTAKING STUDIES

Foreigners qualified for admission shall submit the following documents on25, 26, 27th of September 2025:

  1. Photocopy of diploma of completing first cycle studies and photocopy of suplement  – originals for view. In case of the lack of diploma - certificate of completing first cycle studies. Within a month, you are obliged to deliver the diploma and supplement to the Office of Second-cycle and Long-cycle Programs. Otherwise you will be removed from the list of students.
  2. Legalization/apostille and translation to Polish language - photocopies and originals for view.
  3. Confirmation that the diploma allows to undertake studies in the country of issue or NAWA's director information - original and photocopy
  4. Proof of English language proficiency: English certificate - original and photocopy (does not concern candidates taking the language exam at KUE),
  5. Printout of personal questionnaire – from Online Candidate Admissions (the questionnaire is available in the ,,Enrollment application'' - ,,Documents and further steps''. Before printing out the questionnaire, you should enter the appropriate diploma number and the date of issue of document). 
  6. Photocopy of passport – original for view.
  7. Citizenship statement (form is available for download from University website).
  8. Visa/residence permit - photocopy and original for view.
  9. Health insurance - photocopy and original for view

NOTE: Another person/The Representative may submit documents on behalf of the candidate. In such case  authorisation is required. Form of power of attorney is posted in the downloads tab. and on Online Candidate Admissions platform (IRK) – Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps.
The Representative is obligated to deliver:
- fulfilled form of power of attorney
- personal ID,
- copy of candidate’s ID/passport,
- all required documents for admission (from Step 2).
