Admission for foreigners to part-time second cycle (Master’s) programme

I STEP – ONLINE RECRUITMENT ON IRK  
3rd of June – 15th of September 2024

CREATE AN ACCOUNT

To sign up, choose “Create an account” (top right side). Read and accept the clause, enter your email and create a password.

ATTENTION! Write your actual e-mail – after signing up, you will receive an activation link to this e-mail. Click the link to create an account (log in with email and created password)

After logging in to the main page of your account, open the 'Personal forms' tab (above the photo space). Select the recruitment you are interested in by clicking on 'Select recruitment' (on the right) and you will be redirected to the forms you need to complete:

Basic personal data

Fulfill your personal data (surname, name), date, place and country of birth, citizenship. Information must match the data from your passport.

International candidate

Fulfill and post the documents you possess.

Address and contact information

Fulfill your phone number (both foreign and polish - we will contact you only for important purposes) and temporary address. You should also fulfill correspondence address (in this case you need to provide polish addres if you possesss).

Photo

You are obligated to upload a picture (in accordance with the requirements for ID/passport). Detailed guideline can be found in the tab below.

Uploaded photo will be used for Student’s ID.

Every picture has to be accepted. The Administrator will see it in the system after you sign up for a major programme.

Education

Choose High School country.

Then in tab ‘Documents’'Higher education' choose 'Add a document' and fulfill data regarding your diploma. Applicants for Master’s programme should hold the degree of Master’s, Bachelor’s or Engineer. Admission of candidates is based on average grades in examinations and credit obtained in the course of attending Bachelor’s (or equivalent) long-cycle program*.  If you have more than one diploma, you can choose the one which gives you better result (remeber to send scans of documents to Unit for Teaching Administration for verification to studiainfo@uek.krakow.pl).

* If you are after thesis defense, but still waiting for the diploma, you are obligated to contact your University and request a Defense statement (Zaświadczenie o obronie) with your average in it. After receiving it, in place ‘Date of issue’ enter the date of your thesis defense and put in the Diploma number.

After saving the data, on the right side will appear 'Edit exam results' tab, where you put your average (calculated for you by Unit for Teaching Administration). The average must be documented - if there is no average in diploma suplement, a Candidate is obligated to provide a notification containing the average, confirmed by the University. 

After saving, choose option 'Edit' - 'Add a file' - here you must attach a file containing scans of your diploma and suplement. Only candidates who upload a document confirming their grade point average in IRK will be considered for admission.

Additional personal information

Fulfill the data from your passport with which you will identify yourself when submitting documents.

MAJOR PROGRAMME CHOOSING

After fulfilling all of the required information you can choose the major programmes of your interest. For part-time studies you can apply for any number of major programmes, but you can be admitted only to one. It is very important to prioritize those major programmes from the most to the least preferred one.  To do so, choose the tab ‘Offer’ (top right side). You will be transferred to the page with all of the major programmes offered in the recruitment process. Choose major programme by clicking on it and then sign in by choosing ‘Sign in’ tab.

Chosen major programmes will appear on your account in the ‘Enrollment applications’ tab. You will find here the ‘Set priorities’ button, with which you can change the priorities up to the 15th of September 2024 After this date the changes will no longer be possible! Within the proper date, in this tab, you will find the results of the recruitment process and documents necessary for admission to download (eg. personal questionnaire). 

APPLICATION FEE

Application fee for each major programme is 85 PLN

Make money transfer to an individual account number which can be found in the ‘Payments’ tab. State your name and surname as the transfer title.

     RESULTS - 20TH OF SEPTEMBER 2024

The results of the recruitment process will be published on your IRK account in ‘Enrollment applications’ tab:

Qualified – you have been qualified for admission to studies. After submitting necessary documents the statement will change to ‘Admitted’. 

Not qualified – you have not been qualified for admission.

In ‘News’ tab (top side) ,within the results date, you will find all necessary information (regarding document submission) for qualified candidates and information for not qualified candidates. Read the information carefully before submitting documents. 

 

II  STEP – CONFIRMATION OF STUDY 
21, 23, 24th of September 2024

 

If you have been qualified and want to study at the Krakow University of Economics, you must provide a set of required documents:

  • Photocopy of diploma of graduation with photocopy of diploma's supplement (original for view)
  • Legalization and translation to Polish (photocopy and original for view) 
  • Documents confirming that the diploma allows to undertake studies at second degree in the country of issue
  • Photocopy of the notification containing the average confirmed by the University (original for view) - only if the average in not in the diploma
  • Language certificate ( photocopy and original for view)
  • Personal questionnaire with photo printed from the IRK system
  • Photocopy of passport (original for view)
  • Citizenship statement

Remember to bring your passport to confirm your identity!

When you arrive at the University on the appointed date, you will receive a special folder. Put the prepared set of documents in it and go to the appropriate room to submit the documents.  If you cannot deliver the documents in person, appoint the Representative to deliver them for you. The Representative should have with him/her a set of your documents, a copy of your passport, his/her passport (both documents just for view) and a ‘Power of attorney’ printout from your IRK account.

After submitting the documents, you will receive a student enrollment to sign and access to the university's USOS account and email.
