I STEP – ONLINE RECRUITMENT ON IRK
1st of April – 12th of July 2026 

 

CREATE AN ACCOUNT 

To sign up, choose “Create an account” (top right side). Read and accept the clause, enter your email and create a password. 

ATTENTION! Write your actual e-mail – after signing up, you will receive an activation link to this e-mail. Click the link to create an account (log in with email and created password) 

After logging in to the main page of your account, open the 'Personal forms' tab (above the photo space). Select the recruitment you are interested in by clicking on 'Select recruitment' (on the right) and you will be redirected to the forms you need to complete: 

Basic personal data 

Fulfill your personal data (surname, name), date, place and country of birth, citizenship. Information must match data from your passport. 

International Candidate 

Choose and post the documents you possess 

Address and contact information 

Fulfill your phone number (both foreign and polish - we will contact you only for important purposes) and temporary address. You should also fulfill correspondence address (in this case you need to provide polish address if you possess). 

Photo 

You are obligated to upload a picture (in accordance with the requirements for ID/passport). Detailed guidelines can be found in the tab below.

Uploaded photo will be used for Student’s ID. 

Every picture has to be accepted by the Administrator. The Administrator will see it in the system only after you sign up for a major programme. 

Education 

Choose high school country. 

Then in ‘Documents’ - ‘Higher education’ tab create a document using ‘Add a document, then fulfill necessary data from your diploma and add scans of diploma and supplement for verification using ‘Add a file. If you have more than one diploma, you can choose the one which gives you a better result.

After saving the data, on the right side, will appear a tab ‘Edit exam results in which you fulfill the average (calculated for you by Unit for Teaching Administration). Grade point average must be documented - if there is no average in diploma suplement, then Candidate is obligated to provide a notification containing the average confirmed by University.

WARNING! Only candidates who upload a scan of document confirming their average will be considered for admission. 

ATTENTION!
Foreigners applying for admission to second-cycle studies on the basis of a diploma of graduation issued abroad which is not a diploma authorizing continuation of education in second-cycle studies, as referred to in Article 326, paragraph 1, and which has not been recognized as a diploma equivalent to a corresponding Polish diploma on the basis of the international agreement referred to in Article 327, paragraph 1. 1, or through a recognition procedure, will be required to submit during the recruitment process a diploma of graduation issued abroad by a higher education institution recognized by the country on whose territory or in whose system of higher education it operates, along with written information about the diploma issued by the director of NAWA confirming eligibility to apply for admission.

Fulfill the data from your passport with which you will identify yourself when submitting documents. 

MAJOR PROGRAMME CHOOSING 

After fulfilling all of the required information you can choose the major programmes of your interest. For full-time studies you can choose a maximum of three major programmes, but you can be admitted only to one. It is very important to prioritize those major programmes from the most to the least preferred one.  To do so, choose the tab ‘Offer’ (top right side). You will be transferred to the page with all of the major programmes offered in the recruitment process. Choose major programme by clicking on it and then sign in by choosing ‘Sign in’ tab.  

Chosen major programmes will appear on your account in the ‘Enrollment applications’ tab. In this tab you will also find the ‘Set priorities’ button, with which you can change the priorities up to the 12th of July 2026. After the date any further change will not pe possible! Within the date, you will also find here the results and documents necessary for admission to download (eg. personal questionnaire).

APPLICATION FEE 

Application fee for each major programme is 85 PLN. If you choose more than one major programme the system will add up and give you the total – for two major programmes 170 PLN, for three major programmes 255 PLN. Make money transfer to an individual account number which can be found in the ‘Payments’ tab. State your name and surname as the transfer title!

RESULTS - 22th of July 2026

The results of the recruitment process will be published on your IRK account in ‘Enrollment applications’ tab: 

Qualified – you have been qualified for admission to studies. After submitting necessary documents, in the 'Decision' tab the statement will change to ‘Admitted’.   

Not qualified – you have not been qualified for admission. 

In ‘News’ tab (top side), within the results date, you will find all necessary information (regarding document submission) for qualified candidates and information for not qualified candidates. Read the information carefully before submitting documents.   

 

II STEP – CONFIRMATION OF STUDY - document submission
23 - 24th of July or 22 - 23th of September 2026

 

If you have been qualified and want to study at the Krakow University of Economics, you must provide a set of required documents: 

  1. Bachelor’s, Engineer's, Master’s, or an equivalent degree diploma (legalized, translated)  - photocopy and original for view,
  2. Supplement or transcript of records for the whole period of studies (legalized, translated) - photocopy and original for view,
  3. The certificate confirming that the candidate’s diploma allows to undertake Master’s studies in the country of issue. Such certificate may be issued by the equivalent of Ministry of Education („Ministerstwo Oświaty”) in a given country (in that case this document should be translated into Polish by a certified translator) - original and photocopy,Foreigners applying for admission to second-cycle studies on the basis of a diploma of graduation issued abroad which is not a diploma authorizing continuation of education in second-cycle studies, as referred to in Article 326, paragraph 1, and which has not been recognized as a diploma equivalent to a corresponding Polish diploma on the basis of the international agreement referred to in Article 327, paragraph 1. 1, or through a recognition procedure, will be required to submit during the recruitment process a diploma of graduation issued abroad by a higher education institution recognized by the country on whose territory or in whose system of higher education it operates, along with written information about the diploma issued by the NAWA's director confirming eligibility to apply for admission - photocopy and original for view,
  4. Proof of English language proficiency: English certificate – it does not apply to candidates from EU who hold the diploma issued in the EU,
  5. Printout of personal questionnaire – from Online Candidate Admissions - photocopy and original for view,
  6. Photopy of passport (page with photo) - original for view,
  7. Citizenship statement - from Online Candidate Admission Platform (Enrollment applications - Documents and further steps),

Remember to bring your passport to confirm your identity! 

When you arrive at the University on the appointed date, you will receive a special folder. Put the prepared set of documents in it and go to the appropriate room to submit the documentsIf you cannot deliver the documents in person, appoint a Representative to deliver them for you. Such person should deliver a set of your documents, a copy of your passport and his/her passport (both only for view) and a ‘Power of attorney’ printout from your IRK account. 

After submitting the documents, you will receive a student enrollment to sign and access to the university's USOS account and email. 

RESIDENCE PERMIT AND INSURANCE

Before the beginning of studies, you should deliver:

  1. Original and photocopy of visa/residence permit - EU citizens – registration of stay;
  2. Original and photocopy of health insurance, covering the entire period of studies in Poland or copy of a European Health Insurance Card or insurance from the National Health Fund.
  • Student ID Card will be issued after submission of the documents required in the step 3.
